I have loved the Dave Matthews Band since I was 12. Ten years later and I still get butterflies at his concert, scream my head off, call him "Dave", and find myself doing an odd sort of dancing when he plays my favorite songs (Granny, Grey Street, Tripping Billies, Louisiana Bayou). I could write in here about how great it was to feel the music swell up and hit the lawn area, how I could feel the bass in my sternum, how I couldn't take my eyes off the wild swining dredlocks of Boyd Tinsley as he put his entire body into fiddling. But I think that would be a little redundant considering all the reviews that have already gone out about the concert. There's just nothing better than a concert on the lawn of Sandstone, even if I had to deal with couples making out all around me and two annoying girls in the back that couldn't stand life any longer if Dave Matthews decided he didn't like Kansas City. I turned to them and asked if they realized that he and his band have been coming here for about 10 years now and I think that means that he thinks Kansas City is an all right town. They giggled and then moved, which wasn't an easy thing to do given the crowds.
The concert was a fabulous distraction and now I must get to writing my resume and autobiography. Is it really ok to write one's autobiography at age 22?
